THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 2014 The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year! The National Club is honoured to present Ms. Janet Carding, Director and CEO, of the Royal Ontario Museum as our special guest speaker. She will speak about the ROM Centennial, it’s past, and what the ROM has in store for the future. Opened in 1914, the ROM is Canada’s largest museum of natural history and world cultures with six million objects in public trust in its collections and galleries showcasing art, archaeology and natural science. 


Janet was appointed Director and CEO in 2010 with the responsibility for furthering the Museum’s mission, advocating for its ongoing public and private sector support, promoting its research, programs, and collections, and overseeing the management of the Museum’s operations, which include exhibitions, programs, education, visitor services, administration and facilities management.
